Michigan Friends of Nyaka (MFN) believes strongly in the mission of Nyaka and is proud to be part of the Nyaka family. MFN is based in East Lansing, Michigan and works on the following initiatives for the Nyaka AIDS Orphans School:
1.) Microfinance Program
MFN is designing a microfinance program for the Nyaka School and surrounding community. In 2008, MFN hopes to raise the necessary funds to implement the program and start accepting applications from the Nyaka community in 2009.
2.) Nyaka Youth Corps
One aspect of Nyaka that we have fallen in love with is how it draws people from a cross-section of an entire community. Everyone has something to offer and at MFN, we are implementing a program for children from the Greater Lansing community to allow them the opportunity to help the Nyaka School.
